Course Overview

This course is for Health and Safety committee members where the committee has been in existence for at least twelve months. It incorporates a strategic review and evaluation as well as a planning component.

All members of a particular health and safety committee, including those members with less than 12 months in office, should participate in this course.

In recognition of the strategic overview and planning role of health and safety committees, the learning outcomes of the course have been designed to emphasise the importance of a critical review and evaluation of the committee’s performance and forward planning.

Prerequisites:

Participants are not required to be members of a health and safety committee. It is preferred that participants who are members of a health and safety committee will have already completed the Committee Member Training – Introductory Course.

Training Delivery Format:

The training is delivered face-to-face in a classroom based learning environment. The duration of training is 7 hours (9am to 4pm).
