Helen Bulis has worked in the Commonwealth Public Service since 1983 and worked in diverse locations such as Alice Springs, Perth and Darwin. Helen has a Bachelor of Social Science (Women’s Studies) and undertook an Honours degree in Sociology. She has tutored at Central Queensland University in Rockhampton and the now Charles Darwin University in the NT. Helen has also completed a Graduate Diploma in Art History at the University of Adelaide.
Helen is the former Regional Director of Australian Customs and Border Protection Service. She has worked for the Department of Health and Ageing where she worked on a whole of government project for Indigenous communities in the north west of SA.
Her passion in the training sector is Ethics and ensuring public servants understand the bigger picture related to their jobs.
Helen is married and lives on a property near Mt Pleasant. She has two dogs including a Great Dane and a delightful Heinz variety. Helen’s interests include playing golf, reading and she is a passionate Geelong Cats member and supporter. Helen is a volunteer guide for the Art Gallery of South Australia.
