Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Upgrade for Registered Secondary Teachers
An opportunity for holders of TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment to move seamlessly to the current TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Background
Qualifications for trainers and assessors working in the VET sector have been mandated since the mid 1990’s. The basic Certificate IV qualification has progressed through a number of incarnations since that time:
- CIV in Workplace Training (Category 2) (Pre 1998)
- CIV in Assessment and Workplace Training (1998)
- CIV in Training and Assessment (2004) from the TAA04 Training Package
- CIV in Training and Assessment (2010) from the current TAE10 Training Package
For teachers who hold the TAA40104 CIV in Training and Assessment, an upgrade to the current qualification, TAE40110 CIV in Training and Assessment is fairly straightforward. ASC Training and Development have piloted a successful package with The Limestone Coast Region where over 30 teachers have successfully transitioned to the new Certificate IV qualification.
