Course Description
Work-related deaths have fallen dramatically according to the latest Safe Work Australia Report 2019 – however, there are still too many deaths each year in the workplace. By becoming qualified and experienced you can gain critical knowledge and skills to ensure this does not happen in your workplace (or others).
Keeping employees safe at work is a fundamental requirement of the modern workplace. This is a shared responsibility for employees at all levels within the organisation. The CIV in WHS is designed for employees who work in a WHS role and enables them to provide leadership in WHS to other workers, including:
- Confidence and skills in applying WHS legislation to workplace situations
- Consultation skills with team and management
- Contributing to the organisation’s WHS practices
By enrolling in this qualification, you will have the benefit of learning from our experienced WHS specialists Lewis Stratton and Cheryl Shepherd. Both are experts in their field as well as being experienced facilitators/trainers. Our Live Virtual Classrooms through Zoom are interactive with the facilitators and other participants. You will engage in 3 x 90 minute sessions per day and undertake tasks outside of those times.
ASC Training & Development are an approved SafeWork SA Provider of Health and Safety Representative (HSR) training. To follow on from this training, we offer the CIV in WHS, however HSR training is not required to undertake this qualification.
