Pete Oborn
Pete’s passion for delivering quality training has stretched across a variety of industries, from maritime to fitness, not-for-profit to corporate. He remains committed to developing better training practices, bringing innovative approaches to training delivery and tailoring learning to suit participants’ needs. Pete was one of 3 finalists in the 2013 VET trainer of the Year Awards (SA).

Rob started as a project manager with the Commonwealth Department of Employment Education and Training in 1986, managing major national projects for the introduction of changes to training practices and awards across a range of industries. Since leaving the public sector in 1993 he has managed projects in human resource development, tourism, workplace safety, indigenous employment and industrial relations.

Max has a long-term involvement with Education, commencing in 1978 as a teacher at Wudinna on the Eyre Peninsula in SA. Since that time he has worked in a number of schools and education settings as a teacher, adviser and in leadership roles. Max has recently left SA DECD after working as a Principal for the past 11 years. He brings years of management experience to his role at ASC.

Mark, originally from Africa has also worked in the UK and United Arab Emirates, most of his career has been in the oil and gas industry. After a few career changes it was in 2008 that he was presented with an opportunity to join the “training team”.

Mark has worked for the last 12 years as an independent thinker and freelance consultant and with ASC as a contractor since 2017. The first half of his professional career led him to Executive roles in South Australian Treasury and Finance. He has a deep knowledge of government decision-making processes and public sector financial management. Mark has an Honours Degree in Economics and a Graduate Diploma in Marketing.

Juanita is the Director of Lovatt Legal Pty Ltd and holds a BA, LLB (Adel), Grad Dip LP, Grad Cert Mngmt (Uni SA) & Cert IV Training and Assessment Juanita has over two decades experience in legal, regulatory and operational executive roles. Juanita is a Certified Resilience at Work (R@W7 Scale) Practitioner and works with ASC as a consultant – she is passionate about delivering Health & Safety Representative (HSR) Training, WHS, HR, Leadership, Resilience and Risk Management Training.

Vincent has over 30 years experience in emergency operations, 15 of those as a Station Officer for the SA Metropolitan Fire Service. Vincent worked for two and half years in Community Safety Education developing and delivering fire safety education. He works in a part time capacity with ASC Training & Development, delivering and assessing CIV in Training and Assessment and Management qualifications.

Highly experienced in crisis intervention, victim support, prison management and crime prevention, Andrew is a unique and highly respected figure within the Australian and International Justice systems. Andrew is a gifted teacher and trainer, teaching part-time at Flinders University in Social and Behavioural Sciences. He provides training around Australia in crime prevention and dealing with aggression.
