Content

This two-day program is structured across two connected days, building from the foundations of leading people to the more challenging aspects of the role.

Day One — Building strong leadership foundations

Day One focuses on the foundations of effective leadership. Participants explore the transition from team member to leader, examine different leadership styles and consider how their own approach influences others. The day also develops core people-leadership skills, including:

• Building trust and credibility
• Communicating effectively
• Listening with intent
• Motivating and engaging team members
• Delegating with clarity
• Creating accountability

Day Two — Leading people through challenge and growth

Day Two builds on these foundations, turning to the more demanding aspects of leadership. Participants explore strategies for:

• Managing performance
• Navigating difficult conversations
• Responding constructively to conflict
• Using coaching as a leadership tool
• Strengthening team culture
• Developing emotional intelligence and self-awareness
• Leading through change and uncertainty
• Building resilience and adaptability

Participants finish by identifying practical actions they can take to strengthen their own leadership effectiveness.

Learning through application

Throughout the program, participants work with practical leadership tools, workplace scenarios, facilitated discussion and reflection activities. This provides the opportunity to test ideas, practise key skills and consider how different approaches apply in their own workplace.

Assessment

There is no assessment for this program.
