This course is ideal for those who want to overcome the fear of presentation. It will provide you with a toolkit of strategies to manage your nerves, as well as practical tips relating to:
- the strategic communication model
- creating effective learning
- knowing your target group
- using visual aids
- structuring your presentation
- delivering and reviewing your presentation.

To enrol in this course you must:
- have English language and literacy skills sufficient to undertake study at Certificate IV level.
- be able to commit to all 3 days scheduled.
Content
This course is based on the Make Presentations (BSBCMM411) unit of competency and covers the following:
- Preparing highly engaging presentations for any audience.
- Presenting with confidence and enthusiasm.
- Designing and using effective visual aids.
- Employing techniques for polishing and mastering presentation delivery.
- Evaluating and improving your presentations.
Assessment
- Assessment is competency based. You will be assessed as ‘Competent’, ‘Partially Complete’ or ‘Not Yet Competent’ for each unit of competency.
- You will be invited to resubmit work until competency can be demonstrated.
