The Maintain a Safe Workplace – WHS for Managers and Supervisors workshop provides an introduction to and overview of WHS.
This course will give you a clear breakdown of current WHS legislation and the impact of this legislation in the workplace. You will also be introduced to the:
- roles and responsibilities of business owners, managers and staff
- tools provided to manage WHS processes.
On completion, you will have practical and easy-to-use checklists and templates that you can take back to your workplace.

There are no formal prerequisites for this course, however it is aimed at managers and supervisors.
Content
Participants will learn about:
- the WHS legislative framework
- requirements of the WHS legislation including your role in implementing WHS and risk management processes in your organisation
- compliance gap analysis
- strategies to address and embed compliance gaps
- importance of and requirement for workplace consultation and information sharing
- WHS laws as they apply to your organisation’s safety management system.

There is no assessment for this course.
