WHS Committees: Strategic Improvement

The WHS Committees: Strategic Improvement course provides an overview of the committee's legislative duties and roles.

This course gives committee members a greater awareness of the strategic role of a WHS committee, including its role in facilitating communication, consultation and cooperation between the person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU) and workers.

$220 (inc. GST) 

There are no formal prerequisites for this course, however it is aimed at WHS committee members.


This course will deliver the following:

  • an overview of legislative duties and roles (tailored to the learning group’s needs)
  • exercises that highlight the attributes of an effective functional committee
  • strategic planning activities and discussions.


There is no assessment for this course. 

Past participants tell us that this workshop has given them a much better understanding of the role of a WHS committee.

Course duration

  • 1 half-day workshop
  • Group bookings can be delivered at a client location

Please note: Workshops held at client locations can be tailored to include a review of the client's committee terms of reference or constitution, and/or the development of an action plan for the committee.
