The WHS Leadership for Officers workshop explores an officer's legislative duty, as well as the responsibilities of the person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU) and others.
Under the WHS SA Act (2012), the role of the WHS Officer has changed significantly. Officers are no longer appointed, but are defined by their role to make or participate in decisions that affect the business. There is no opting out or delegating the role of the Officer, and penalties for non-compliance have been altered significantly.
This workshop will give you up-to-date information on the role of the WHS Officer and practical tools to manage WHS processes.
