Diploma of Leadership and Management

The Diploma of Leadership and Management is designed for people looking for career development. It is well suited to those who manage others, aspire to a leadership role or contribute to management practice in the organisation.

This course will develop your skills across a range of areas including:

  • communicating with influence at all levels in the organisation
  • building effective and engaged teams
  • inspiring and developing others
  • managing performance
  • working with and leveraging diversity
  • leading difficult conversations
  • managing your own professional development and emotional intelligence
  • implementing continuous improvement systems
  • identifying and managing business risk.

Option 1 – with a training contract*

$2,800 (GST free)
Your employer is invoiced upfront.

*Training contracts – funding undertaken in partnership with your employer and the government.


Option 2 – without a training contract

$4,850 (GST free)
20% deposit may be required. Payment plans are available for individuals.


Please note: 

  • ASC Training & Development does not take payment of more than $1,500 from individuals in a single payment.
  • Nationally recognised training is GST free. 

Experience in the workplace and managing a team is considered essential for this course, as the assessment tasks and project require you to relate your answers back to your workplace environment. If you are not currently managing a team, you may like to consider our Certificate IV in Leadership & Management.

To enrol in this course you must:

  • have English language and literacy skills sufficient to undertake study at Diploma level
  • have good computer skills and be able to organise and manage files, edit documents, research information on the internet, and record video on your phone, tablet or other device.
  • be able to commit 15-20  hours of your own time for each assessment (assessment tasks are completed between sessions).

Content

This qualification is made up of 12 units of competency (6 core and 6 elective). 

Based on our many years' experience working with a wide range of organisations, we have customised this qualification to reflect key training and assessing competencies.

Assessment

  • Assessment is competency based. You will be assessed as ‘Competent’, ‘Partially Complete’ or ‘Not Yet Competent’ for each unit of competency. 
  • You will be invited to resubmit work until competency can be demonstrated.
