Health and Safety Representative (HSR) Refresher

To enrol in this course you must:

• be on your second elected term as an HSR (immediately after the first term)
• have completed Levels 1, 2 and 3 HSR approved training in your first term.

Content

This course will cover the following:

• changes to legislation and its general requirements
• processes for resolving issues using your organisation’s system, including the issuing of a Provisional Improvement Notice (PIN)
• making a case for positive change.

In addition to the above, hazard topics will be reviewed using case studies and the learning group’s needs.

Assessment

There is no assessment for this course. 

This course forms the foundation for the remaining 9 days of training (of the 10 days to which you are entitled) for your second term as an HSR.

The additional 9 days will enable you to complete a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or other training negotiated with your organisation.
